KidZone

Our Sunday morning KidZone ministry is designed for children aged 2 through to Year 6. It provides a fun, engaging, and age-appropriate environment where children can discover who Jesus is and grow in their faith. Each child is encouraged to develop their God-given gifts and to express their love for Jesus in meaningful ways.

Children are grouped into four classes: Spark (ages 2–4), Ignite (Kindy–Pre-Primary), Flame (Years 2–3), and Ablaze (Years 4–6).

Throughout the year, children and their families are invited to enjoy termly social events, and together they present a special KidZone service at the end of the year.

Club 46

This junior Youth Group meets monthly for social activities designed especially for children in Years 4 to 6. Activities include games nights, movie nights, jumping castles, and much more.

It provides a welcoming and enjoyable environment where pre-teens can build and strengthen friendships, have fun together, and feel confident inviting their friends along. It is also a space where they are encouraged to grow in their faith and share it with others.

Youth Hangout is a youth group program run by Karratha Baptist Church for young people across Karratha and the surrounding areas. Our heart is to provide a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable space where youth can connect, have an epic time together, and grow in their understanding of life, faith, and what it means to follow Jesus.

We meet twice a month during the school term on Sundays, straight after church from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. All high school students in Years 7 to 12 are warmly invited to attend.

Community Groups

Relationships were central to Jesus’ life and ministry, and they are central to ours. We believe spiritual growth happens best in the context of authentic relationships—where people gather, feel safe and cared for, and grow together in faith. And along the way, we discover the joy of simply doing life together.

Our Community Groups are smaller gatherings that meet in homes throughout the week, creating space for connection, encouragement, and shared life. Each group offers a place to build relationships, share stories, and grow in your walk with Jesus, with options that cater to different ages and stages of life.

If you would like to join a Community Group, or are interested in starting one, we would love to hear from you. Come and begin your journey with us.

Whether you are new to town or have been here for many years—whether you are exploring faith, new to faith, or have followed Jesus for a long time—you are warmly invited to join us.

When: 6:00am every second Thursday

Missions

Karratha Baptist Church is privileged to be part of sharing God’s love and message both locally and around the world. We actively partner in mission through friendship, prayer, financial support, and, where possible, personal involvement.

We take seriously Jesus’ call to be His hands and feet: in our community, across our nation, and throughout the world. Locally, we serve and support our community through partnerships with YouthCARE, Scripture Union, and a community crisis fund. We have a deep heart for the Pilbara and are committed to sharing the good news in our region.

Beyond our local context, we are connected nationally and globally through Baptist Mission Australia and Baptist World Aid, working together to make a lasting impact for God’s kingdom.

Prayer

We want you to know that you are never alone. If you find yourself needing someone to talk to, or simply a quiet space to reflect and pray, our church building is open on Monday evenings from 7:00pm. The kettle is always on, and there are people ready to sit with you, listen, and support you.

Prayer meetings are also held each Monday at 7:00pm and are open to everyone. Whether you have a specific need for prayer or simply wish to spend time seeking God with others, you are warmly invited to join us.

A short prayer gathering is held each Sunday at 9:00am, before the morning service, as we come together to pray for the leading and movement of the Holy Spirit.

If you would like prayer for your personal circumstances, you are welcome to attend any of these gatherings or contact the church office, and we will connect you with a member of our leadership team.

Worship

Karratha Baptist Church is committed to helping you and your family know God in a real, honest, and deep way. As a church, our role is to equip and encourage you to live a life devoted to Him, experiencing His presence and growing in your faith each day.

Our Sunday morning services are designed to be participatory and meaningful. We believe that every part of our gathering is an act of worship. You can expect Bible-centred teaching, heartfelt worship through song, times of prayer, and the opportunity to connect with others over morning tea.

“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” – Apostle Paul (Romans 12:1-2)
