Karratha Baptist Church offers a range of ministries designed to help you connect, serve, and grow in your relationship with Jesus and with others in the church community.

Children

KidZone

Our Sunday morning KidZone ministry is designed for children aged 2 through to Year 6. It provides a fun, engaging, and age-appropriate environment where children can discover who Jesus is and grow in their faith. Each child is encouraged to develop their God-given gifts and to express their love for Jesus in meaningful ways.

Children are grouped into four classes: Spark (ages 2–4), Ignite (Kindy–Pre-Primary), Flame (Years 2–3), and Ablaze (Years 4–6).

Throughout the year, children and their families are invited to enjoy termly social events, and together they present a special KidZone service at the end of the year.

Club 46

This junior Youth Group meets monthly for social activities designed especially for children in Years 4 to 6. Activities include games nights, movie nights, and much more.

It provides a welcoming and enjoyable environment where pre-teens can build and strengthen friendships, have fun together, and feel confident inviting their friends along. It is also a space where they are encouraged to grow in their faith and share it with others.

Youth Hangout

Youth Hangout is a youth group program run by Karratha Baptist Church for young people across Karratha and the surrounding areas. Our heart is to provide a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable space where youth can connect, have a meaningful time together, and grow in their understanding of life, faith, and what it means to follow Jesus.

We meet twice a month during the school term on Sundays, straight after church from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. All high school students in Years 7 to 12 are welcome to attend.

For more information, please email admin@karrathabaptist.org.au.

Community Groups

Relationships were central to Jesus’ life and ministry, and they are central to ours. We believe spiritual growth happens best in the context of authentic relationships - where people gather, feel safe and cared for, and grow together in faith. And along the way, discover the joy of simply doing life together.

Our Community Groups are smaller gatherings that meet in homes throughout the week, creating space for connection, encouragement, and shared life. Each group offers a place to build relationships, share stories, and grow in your walk with Jesus, with options that cater to different ages and stages of life.

If you would like to join a Community Group, or are interested in starting one, we would love to hear from you. Come and begin your journey with us.

For Women

The women of Karratha Baptist Church gather each week during the school term to enjoy fellowship, build meaningful relationships, and share life and faith together. Using the S.O.A.P. Bible study method, these mornings are both encouraging and enriching, with plenty of time set aside to connect and catch up. Mums are welcome to bring their little ones along.

Whether you are new to town or have been here for many years, we would love to meet you.

The Ladies group meets every Tuesday morning at 9:00am at the church.

For Men

We believe it is important to create spaces where men can gather to speak openly and honestly about life and faith. The men of Karratha Baptist Church meet fortnightly to grow in their understanding of who God is and who we are in light of Him, encouraging one another in faith and in life.

Whether you are new to town or have been here for many years - whether you are exploring faith, new to faith, or have followed Jesus for a long time - you are invited to join us.

When: 6:00am every second Thursday
Where: Lo’s Café (The Quarter, Karratha CBD)

Missions & Outreach

Karratha Baptist Church is commited to faithful participation in God’s mission through prayer, generosity, partnership, and the sending of workers for the proclamation of the gospel locally, nationally, and globally.

Currently we support one full-time missionary who is working among an Unreached People Group in Mozambique. We are continually looking to see where and how we can partner with and get behind initiatives to spread the Good News of Jesus locally and globally.

Our preferred local outreach tool is the Alpha Course. We have just recently run our first Alpha and will most likely be running at least one per year. The Alpha Course run over a period of 10 weeks and consists of meeting at the church for a light meal/snack or desert. Then we watch a 30 minute video, followed by a time of free discussion in small groups. You can find out more about Alpha here.

The next Alpha Course will be well advertised in the church. Watch this space.

Prayer

At Karratha Baptist Church we believe prayer is fundamental to our faith and to the life and function of the church. A such, we want prayer to undergird everything we do.

Prayer meetings are held at the church every Monday at 6:00pm and are open to everyone..

A short prayer gathering is held each Sunday at 9:00am, before the morning service, as we come together to pray for the leading and movement of the Holy Spirit.

We also have a day of prayer and fasting on the first Monday of every month. On that Monday, we meet for our regular 6pm prayer meeting and then “break” fast by eating together.

If you need prayer for anything please get in touch with us. We will pray for you, and with your permission, we will share your prayer needs on our Prayer WhatsApp group.

Music Team

Untitled design.jpeg

We are created to worship. Here at Karratha Baptist Church we are committed to providing the space and opportunity for all believers to experience the Lord as we worship him, in spirit and in truth.

We have a rich and diverse music team, led by 6 different worship leaders on a rotation basis. The music team’s vision is to see people encountering God’s presence through Spirit-led worship.

As such, our Sunday morning services are designed to be participatory and meaningful. We believe that every part of our gathering is an act of worship. You can expect Bible-centred teaching, heartfelt worship through song, times of prayer, and the opportunity to connect with others over morning tea.

Young Adults
Social Gathering Smiles

Our Young Adults group is a dynamic bunch of young people who have finished school, up to about the age of 28 (although their really is not limit if you’re young at heart.) They get together every Wednesday evening at 7pm at the church. They enjoy a time of fun and fellowship around a meal. They also spend some time in Bible study and discussing things relevant to their age and stage in life. Social events such as games evenings, movies, barbecues and beach parties are often arranged during the week and on weekends.

If you fall into this age category and stage of life, please feel free to join them. You can contact the church on 9185 4008 for more info.,

International DInner Night

We believe in the value of intentional community that brings together people of all generations and cultures. At Karratha Baptist Church, we love creating space for this through regular gatherings, including our much-loved International Food Night, held once each term.

International Food Night is a relaxed and welcoming evening filled with conversation, games, table tennis, and, best of all, shared food. There is no formal program; simply bring a dish to share from your culture or country of origin and enjoy time together. Everyone is warmly welcome.

Our next International Dinner Night will be on Saturday 22 August at 6pm.

Worship Night

Join us for an evening set aside for pure and authentic worship - a time to pause, reflect, and draw near to God. Through music, prayer, and stillness, we create space to encounter his presence and respond with open hearts. All are welcome to come as they are and worship together. Contact us to find out when the next one will be.
